In summer family often plans for a road trip or a long vacation to have some fun. For kids, summer means vacation and to go outside for some fun. But that fun comes with summer risk. Summer often implies warmth, fun, and sunshine, but it can also bring heat overexposure, heat exhaustion, heat-induced illnesses, sunburn, poison, and stings. Some most common disease that comes with summer fun like Cough, Flu, Chicken Pox, Back-Pain, Skin rashes, Headache, Jaundice, and Typhoid. It is not that every individual suffers from these diseases, but still, precautions have to be taken by everyone even when he or she is perfectly healthy and fit. Beat the Heat and the Sun

Kids should avoid sun exposure if possible and should apply minimal sunscreen to face and other exposed body part. Pants and long sleeve shirts with collars provide the best protection. Hats are necessary for the sun to protect the sensitive skin of face and neck. UV rays from the sun can cause a change in vision, cataracts, and other permanent damage to the eye. So sunglasses are necessary for the better protection of eyes in sun. There are risks to eye health other than UV rays, and swimming is one of them. When swimming in pools, chlorine exposure can irritate and possibly cause damage to the eye, especially with repeated exposure. Wearing sunglasses and goggles helps to protect against chemicals and bacteria that may put your eyes at risk. And while playing in summer or doing sports outdoor activities frequent water break is necessary to avoid dehydration in the body.

They should avoid very cold drinks that can cramp their stomach. They should also avoid sugary drinks other than cold drinks like juices which can cause dehydration. Diet of kids should be improved. Fast-food should be avoided during summer and rainy day. Blueberries and blackberries are especially antioxidant rich. Berries are rich in fibre which helps to keep cholesterol low and may even help to prevent some cancers. Kids should take proper sleep and rest. They should pay attention to good sleep hygiene by keeping the same bedtime and wake-up schedule. Kids should eat Watermelon in summer as it keeps the body hydrated.
